Webb Henderson secures successful outcome in the Australian Competition Tribunal for Port of Newcastle – need to update links

Webb Henderson acted for the Port of Newcastle in its successful review in the Australian Competition Tribunal of the ACCC’s arbitration determination of Port charges to be paid by Glencore. The Tribunal delivered its determination yesterday with the Tribunal accepting all of the Port’s arguments.

The Tribunal’s determination follows the deemed revocation of the declaration of the Port on 23 September 2019 on the recommendation of the National Competition Council.

Webb Henderson has acted for the Port since 2016 in all of its regulatory dealings relating to the declaration of the Port and Port charges, including with the National Competition Council, the ACCC, the Australian Competition Tribunal, the Federal Court, the Full Federal Court and the High Court.

Andrew Christopher and Diana Biscoe led Webb Henderson’s team.
