Ish is a commercial and regulatory partner in the Sydney office of Webb Henderson. His  focus is on the telecommunications, media and technology sector.

Ish works at the law’s intersection with next generation networks and applications. He has focused on this area for over a decade. For the last several years, he has been nbn’s leading advisor on wholesale telecommunications supply arrangements. nbn is the company building Australia’s next generation broadband access network and these arrangements underpin the supply of fixed telecommunications services under Australia’s new structurally separated telecommunications industry. Ish led the development of, and regularly advises on, nbn’s Wholesale Broadband Agreement which accounts for almost all of nbn’s revenue. He assists nbn on a wide range of other matters, including key regulatory and commercial strategy.

Ish has also advised leading telecommunications and independent over-the-top media companies on their online video platforms, including in negotiations with major international sports, movie and television licensors. He advised Spark (formerly Telecom NZ) on its successful bid for the Rugby World Cup media rights in New Zealand. Spark’s success in winning these rights was a watershed moment for the sports media market in New Zealand. He continues to advise Spark on the ongoing evolution of its media strategy.

Ish is listed in Chambers Asia Pacific. He joined Webb Henderson in 2011 and became a partner in 2016.
