Ish is a commercial and regulatory partner in the Sydney office of Webb Henderson. His focus is on the telecommunications, media and technology sector.

Ish works at the law’s intersection with next generation networks and applications. He has focused on this area for over a decade.

He is nbn’s leading advisor on wholesale telecommunications supply arrangements. nbn is the company building Australia’s next generation broadband access network and these arrangements underpin the supply of fixed telecommunications services under Australia’s new structurally separated telecommunications industry. Ish led the development of, and regularly advises on, nbn’s Wholesale Broadband Agreement which accounts for almost all of nbn’s revenue. He assists nbn on a wide range of other matters, including key regulatory and commercial strategy.

Ish is also a key advisor to Spark, the leading telecommunications company in New Zealand. He advised Spark on the creation of Connexa, Aotearoa New Zealand’s leading standalone passive mobile infrastructure company. The deal involved a sale of the majority of Connexa, underpinned with long-term tower access rights along with an agreement for Connexa to build hundreds of new sites for Spark over the coming decade, as Spark rolls out its standalone 5G network. Ish continues to advise the Spark Group, including MATTR, on a range of strategic initiatives.

Ish is listed in Chambers Asia Pacific. He joined Webb Henderson in 2011 and became a partner in 2016.
