Angus is the co-founding partner of Webb Henderson, and has more than 30 years’ experience in communications regulatory, wholesale, and commercial transactions in Australia, the Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and beyond.
During this time, he has worked for leading telecommunications operators in the sector on some of the largest telecommunications, pay-TV, and broadband deals.
Working extensively on prominent fibre-related projects in Australia, Singapore, and Malaysia, including for the operators responsible for building national fibre networks, he has particular expertise in the development of the underlying regulatory frameworks which support those investments and the implementation of those frameworks.
Angus also acts for large international telecommunications and digital infrastructure companies rolling out and investing in satellite, 5G and global connectivity services.
A large proportion of Angus’ practice is devoted to the development of competitive regulatory models in the telecommunications and broadcasting industries. He provides extensive advice on communication markets deregulation to operators and regulators throughout the Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.
Angus has been recognised as a leading individual in Chambers Asia-Pacific 2024 (Band 1). He is recognised as a Global Elite Thought Leader in the field of Telecoms & Media-Australia by Who’s Who Legal (2024). Angus is listed by Legal 500 in the Hall of Fame for IT & Telecoms. He has also been named as Telecommunications Lawyer of the Year (Sydney) 2022 by Best Lawyers following similar awards in 2015 and 2012.
