Richard Dampney
Counsel
Richard is a senior commercial and regulatory lawyer. His focus is on the telecommunications, media and technology sector. He has extensive experience advising on complex and highly strategic telecommunications transactions and projects across Australia, Asia, the Pacific and the Middle East.
Some of Richard’s recent experience includes:
- assisting nbn with the negotiation of multiple iterations of the Wholesale Broadband Agreement and assisting on a range of supply arrangements;
- advising du in relation to international licensing and regulatory issues;
- assisting a global telecoms operator with the sale of its telecoms infrastructure assets.
Richard holds a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Languages) with First Class Honours from the University of Sydney. During his Bachelor of Arts (Languages), Richard lived and studied in France for one year.
Prior to joining Webb Henderson in January 2016, Richard worked for Ashurst as a commercial litigator.
Richard was first admitted to practice in 2011. He is admitted to practice in New South Wales.
