With Parliament back in session at Level 3, the Overseas Investment Amendment Bill will soon be back under consideration. We have prepared this note summarising some of the key proposals. We are generally supportive of the proposed changes to the regime, which are more permissive of foreign investment on the whole but introduce a new national interest test and associated call in power.
