Jordan Cox appointed partner

We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Jordan Cox as a partner of Webb Henderson.

Jordan is a specialist TMT lawyer who works with some of the world’s largest telecommunications, internet and technology companies. His practice centres on the development of next generation telecommunications networks and global internet infrastructure – including broadband, satellite and subsea networks.

He also advises on competition law matters, and works closely with the Auckland Corporate & Finance group to advise on New Zealand competition law aspects of potential transactions, including Commerce Commission clearances.

Founding partner Angus Henderson, who leads Webb Henderson’s TMT team, welcomed Jordan into the partnership and said: “Jordan is a very talented TMT lawyer with a depth of experience across the full range of telecommunications infrastructure and supply work. He is an expert in supply contracts, regulatory frameworks and new infrastructure build arrangements.

Webb Henderson’s TMT team is already recognised as top-tier in both New Zealand and Australia. Jordan’s appointment expands this team to a four partner offering.

Jordan has been a lawyer with Webb Henderson since the firm was established in 2009, having joined as a newly-admitted solicitor. Angus Henderson commented further that: ”When Webb Henderson was established, Jordan’s practising certificate was still in the mail. His appointment to partnership now is a fantastic demonstration of the opportunities at Webb Henderson for our best young lawyers to develop their careers and move through to partnership.”

The appointment is effective 1 January 2021, subject to approval from the New Zealand Law Society.
