Jordan is a specialist telecommunications, media and technology (TMT) partner.

His expertise in the telecommunications sector spans a wide range of commercial and regulatory matters, including:

  • the development and supply of wholesale broadband services, particularly next generation access networks;
  • digital infrastructure, including broadband access networks, subsea cable systems, satellite networks and data centres; and
  • the design, operation and reform of telecommunications regulatory frameworks, including economic (price-quality) regulation of next generation access networks, security and privacy obligations, and licensing compliance.

He advises TMT clients on these matters, and others, in New Zealand, Australia, Asia and the Pacific Islands.

Jordan advises regularly on competition law matters. He works closely with Webb Henderson’s Corporate & Finance group to advise on the New Zealand competition law aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including clearance applications and non-notified mergers. He also advises on restrictive trade practice issues in New Zealand and Australia, particularly in the telecommunications sector.

Jordan received an Excellence Award in the Young Private Practice Lawyer of the Year category at the 2020 New Zealand Law Awards, and was recognised as a Rising Star in the inaugural Rising Stars 2020 list by NZ Lawyer.

He is admitted to practice in New Zealand and New South Wales, Australia.
