Jordan is a specialist telecommunications, media and technology (TMT) lawyer and has been advising clients in this sector since his admission in 2009.

Jordan has particular experience in the telecommunications sector, where he advises clients in New Zealand, Australia, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the Pacific Islands. His expertise in the telecommunications sector spans a wide range of commercial and regulatory matters, including:

  • the development and supply of wholesale broadband services, particularly next generation access networks;
  • global Internet infrastructure, including broadband, subsea and satellite networks; and
  • the design, implementation and reform of regulatory frameworks for next generation access networks.

Jordan also advises regularly on competition law matters. He works closely with Webb Henderson’s Corporate & Finance group to advise on the New Zealand competition law aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including clearance applications and non-notified mergers. He also advises on restrictive trade practice issues in New Zealand and Australia, particularly in the telecommunications sector.

Jordan received an Excellence Award in the Young Private Practice Lawyer of the Year category at the 2020 New Zealand Law Awards, and was recognised as a “Rising Star” in the inaugural Rising Stars 2020 list by NZ Lawyer.

He is admitted in New Zealand and New South Wales, Australia.
