Michelle is a dispute resolution lawyer based in the Sydney office of Webb Henderson.

Michelle has particular experience defending claims on behalf of large corporate clients under the Corporations Act.  These include claims brought against Allco Finance Group (in liquidation) and ABC Learning Centres. She has a deep understanding of and experience in dealing with corporate regulatory issues including ASIC investigations, and experience across a wide range of issues including consumer legislation, shareholder disputes, director duties, contractual and insolvency disputes. Michelle has acted for a diverse range of clients across the services sector and brings a strong commercial focus to all litigious issues.

She has represented clients in a number of complex disputes in the Federal and NSW Supreme Courts.

Her recent experience includes:

  • defending a company against a class action claim ($100 million+) brought in relation to allegations of misleading or deceptive conduct and breaches of continuous disclosure obligations under the Corporations Act;
  • acting for and advising clients (both defendants and large litigation funders) in relation to all aspects of class actions;
  • acting for an international shipping company in relation to litigious matters arising out of the company’s receivership, including the arrest of ships at port.

Michelle joined Webb Henderson as a Senior Associate in 2015. Prior to joining Webb Henderson, Michelle worked as a solicitor at boutique and large laws firms based in Sydney.
