Marcus is an experienced commercial and corporate lawyer specialising in TMT, intellectual property and privacy. Marcus has acted for clients in Australasia and the Middle East such as managed cloud services providers, telecommunications networks operators, medical products manufacturers and start-up tech companies.
His TMT commercial experience includes acting in technology and telecommunications related outsourcing and procurement, integration and transition, fibre network, undersea cable and IoT / smart cities implementation projects and arrangements.
Marcus’ corporate experience includes private M&A transactions, fundraising, structuring and governance. This has included complex cross-border large-scale acquisitions and divestments between multiple parties. He also advises on IP licensing, protection and exploitation and privacy / data protection matters.
Marcus also advises entrepreneurs and investors in tech start-up and other early stage companies on their legal and commercial issues such as structuring, governance, incentive arrangements, fundraising, investments and exit.
Marcus joined Webb Henderson in May 2016. He was previously at Australian Business Lawyers & Advisors in the corporate + commercial team and at DLA Piper in the corporate, taxation and superannuation + funds teams. Marcus has also advised in-house to one of Australia’s largest business member organisations.
